Record Attendance Based on Contributions
For church wide services type activities, you typically cannot record attendance. Too many people arrive at the same time to make Check-in or manual attendance taking practical. There is a way you can record attendance indirectly based upon contributions collected during your service times.
To record attendance by contribution:
- Click Ministry > Attendance > Automated Attendance Rules. The Automated Attendance Rules grid appears.
- Click the add new green plus icon in the right corner of the screen. The Add/Edit Automatic Attendance Rule form appears.
- Select the church wide services ministry from the Ministry drop-down list.
- Select the worship services activity from the Activity drop-down list.
- Select the worship center room/location from the RLC drop-down list.
Your screen should look like this
- Select the check box beside the household members for which you want to record attendance as follows:
- Household—if you typically associate contributions to the household, you can add attendance for the Head, Spouse, and/or Children in the household.
- Head/Spouse—if you typically associate contributions with the individual who gave, you can add attendance for that person's spouse and/or children.
- Child—if a child contributes during the activity, you can add attendance for that child's parents and/or siblings.
Note: In the case of an individual contributor such as Head/Spouse or a Child, you will notice that attendance will be recorded for the contributor. Remember this selection refers to how you attribute your contributions - to the household or to the individual who gave.
- Click Add new rule.
Once the rule has been added, to trigger the attendance, you must associate your contributions with the worship service activity. See Record Contributions by Service Time for step-by-step directions.
